One Stop Resource Centre (Equipment)

The One Stop Resource Centre is a joint venture between Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) and Trafford Council. The service provides community equipment and adaptation services for people living in Trafford, who may need assistance with daily living due to a disability.

We provide community equipment and adaptations to those people who require help to improve daily living or assistance when recovering from an illness and those living with a long term health condition.

People who require help to improve daily living or assistance when recovering from an illness or living with a long term health condition.

Our service includes:

Occupational Therapy

  • People are referred by community health and social care teams, hospital teams, GP’s or self-referral via the equipment and Adaption advice line (EAAL)
  • Triage and Signposting
  • Assessment of  people’s needs for community equipment, minor and major adaptations

Central Warehouse

  • Delivery and fitting of required equipment following assessment by a health/social care professional
  • Resupply satellite stores in local hospitals and community clinics to support early discharge/prevention of admission.
  • Collections service and decontamination once equipment no longer needed
  • Repairs service in hours for all equipment ( out of hours service provided by external company for mattresses).

The team works closely with all community health and social care services
